It was a moment every side hustling entrepreneur dreams of…

I walked into my boss’ office, sat down, and handed him my resignation letter.

After 10 years of devoted service to my Oil & Gas Career, I was done.

But unlike most, what I knew was that my entrepreneurial dreams were proven, tested and reliable. I wasn’t trading freedom for security.

You see, I left a stable job where I got paid every two weeks like clockwork and received bonuses worth more than the average US household income…

To start a home based company where I got paid… only if my products & services sold. 

And I left an air-conditioned office where I had an ergonomic chair, an hour-long lunch break, social breaks, and the freedom to leave at 4 PM…

To work in a tiny, little corner of my bedroom for 14-20 hours a day with no breaks.

But you know what saved me from the stress of leaving my job?

A guide or qualified mentor…

Someone who had already climbed the mountain, got to the summit, and now could show me the path to follow.

Someone who could call out all the dumb shit I was doing that offered no value to my business, top line or bottom line...

First find someone who’s already been where you want to be, and do whatever it takes to learn from them.

Listen to every part of that statement...

First find someone who has excelled in what you want. Every Tom, Dick and Harry is a coach these days... make sure they have the success trail (that they can prove).

Second you need to do whatever it takes to learn from them and to implement their advice.

Otherwise your dream of becoming a successful entrepreneur will become a long climb uphill if you can even manage to get up off the ground.
